How long does installation take?+
For a single smart lock (Economy tier) — usually one technician visit, 1–2 hours. Complex Mid or Premium systems take 1 to 5 days depending on the number of access points and the scope of network work. Exact timing is set at the site audit.
Do you need to chase the walls or do renovation work?+
In most cases, no. Nuki smart locks and Dahua VTO video panels are fitted to the existing door and wiring. Chasing may only be needed for a full new structured cabling run — and we flag that in advance during the audit.
What's included in the site audit, and what does it cost?+
The audit is free. A technician walks the property, counts access points, checks the wiring and Wi-Fi condition, and reviews the architectural plan if one exists. You get a recommended tier, a quote, and an installation timeline.
How fast do you respond if something breaks?+
It depends on the maintenance plan: from 3 business days on the Basic plan to 4 hours on the Premium plan with priority dispatch. Details are on the Maintenance & SLA page.
Can I start with a single lock and expand the system later?+
Yes, that's a standard path. Many properties start with the Economy tier on the front door, then add video surveillance, control of additional access points, or full monitoring — the equipment and wiring are designed with expansion in mind.
